Motivated by his love for choral music

Johan Basto embarks on his journey in creating new choral repertoires in the year 2020. Wholeheartedly committed to spreading the music that witnessed his growth in the world of choral ensembles.

He has been awarded 2nd place winner with his composition "Ave María" in  9th Satya Dharma Gita choral composition competition mixed choir category. Additionally, his piece "Salve Regina" secured him the 3rd place in the 750 Jaar Koorzang sint-janskathedraal composition contest. 

His music has been sung for many choirs worldwide, as Encantus voices, Vózeres de Cancún, Coro juvenil del conservatorio Antonio María Valencia, Coral Juvenil Santa Natalia, etc.

Some of his works are published in the arrangement books "Iberoamérica se canta en coro" 2nd and 4th editions from Mexico, and in "Cantintondo 2" from Italy.
